Explanations
Data contained in the folder are presented in accordance with the Polish Classification of
Activities – PKD 2007, compiled on the basis of the Statistical Classification of Economic
Activities in the European Community – NACE Rev. 2.
Data concerning the population and the households were compiled on the basis of population balances
based on the results of the National Population and Housing Census: for years 1990–2009 – 2002
Census, for years 2010–2019 – 2011 Census, since 2020 – 2021 Census.
Data concerning economic activity of the population were compiled on the basis of sample Labour
Force Survey (LFS) and were generalised based on population balances on the basis of the National
Population and Housing Census 2021.
Source of information regarding the living conditions of the population, i.e. the level and
structure of available income, expenditure as well as consumption of selected foodstuffs is a
sample
survey of household budgets.
Data concerning national accounts are presented in compliance with the methodology of European
System of National and Regional Accounts ESA 2010 (on the basis revision from 2014).
Some data are preliminary and may change in other publications of Statistics Poland.

Architectural accessibility

The building is accessed by one
main entrance from 208 Niepodległości Avenue. The building consists of seven floors and four wings
which
are marked A B C D on each floor.
There are no stairs to the main lobby of the building in wing C from the outside, similarly to wing
A.
The reception area is located directly to the left of the main entrance. Further passage is secured
by
gates.
The Statistics Poland building is largely adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. The
stairs
in the main lobby of the building (C wing) are equipped with movable platforms for transporting a
wheelchair, inside the building adequate width of passageways is provided. Elevators are equipped
with
voice information and signage for the blind. On the other hand, the D wing of the Statistics Poland
building, where the Central Statistical Library is located, is adapted to the needs of the disabled,
i.e.: it has an appropriately wide entrance door, a staircase, an entrance platform for wheelchair
users; the reading room has a non-slip floor, and the toilets are adapted to the needs of the
disabled.
There are 6 toilets adapted for people with disabilities throughout the building.
Toilets for the disabled are located on the first floor of the main hall, to the right of the
entrance,
and four on each floor (floor I ,III, V and VI).
In front of the building there are 7 designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
In part od building there is Braille signage in the building.There is no contrast or enlarged print
signage for the blind and visually impaired.
In part of the A wing there is a Statistical Information Centre, which can be accessed from the
sidewalk
level. The Statistical Information Centre is equipped with a bathroom adapted to the needs of
people
with disabilities.

The institution does not provide sign language interpreter support either in-person or via
electronic communication.
There are no signs in Braille, high-contrast markings, or large print for visually impaired users.
