Accessibility declaration for the Poland in figures website

Statistics Poland undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The accessibility declaration applies to the Poland in figures website.

The Poland in figures website is partially compliant with the Annex to the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the non-compliances listed below.

  • Not all messages are automatically read by screen readers.
  • Some messages and terminology may not be fully understandable to users.
  • Some tooltips may not be fully or properly digitally accessible.
  • Not all website elements are automatically read by screen readers.
  • The website contains some non-text elements that do not have an alternative text.
  • Not all website elements, particularly graphic elements, are displayed correctly on mobile devices.
  • When the page is zoomed to 200% or more, some elements may overlap or be cut off.
  • On mobile devices, landscape orientation is preferred, as some elements may be digitally inaccessible in portrait orientation.
  • The website contains links to files that may not be fully digitally accessible.

Preparation of the accessibility declaration

The Poland in figures website is continuously evolving to improve its accessibility, with the goal of becoming as digitally accessible as possible.
This declaration was prepared on May 27, 2026.
The declaration was based on a self-assessment, i.e. an internal Website Audit (PDF, 132 KB), conducted in accordance with the Annex to the Act, the so-called digital accessibility checklist for websites (DOC, 122 KB, in Polish only).

Right to submit a request

Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website or its elements. You may also request access to information via an alternative means, such as having a digitally inaccessible document read aloud or receiving a description of an graphic content.


When submitting such a request, please provide:

  • your name and surname,
  • your contact information (e.g., phone number, e-mail address),
  • the exact address of the website where there is an element or content not available digitally,
  • a brief description of the problem and the solution that would be most convenient for you.

The public entity should fulfil the request without delay, no later than 7 days from the date the request is made. If this deadline is too short for us, we will inform you about it. In this notification, we will provide a new deadline by which we will correct the errors you reported or prepare the information in an alternative way. This new deadline will not be longer than 2 months.

If we are unable to ensure the digital accessibility of the website or content specified in your request, we will offer you access to them in an alternative way.

Handling of requests and complaints related to accessibility

If a public entity refuses to fulfil a request to ensure accessibility or to provide an alternative method of access, the requester may file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website or its elements. A complaint may also be filed if the requester disagrees with the alternative method of access proposed in response to the request for ensuring digital accessibility.

Architectural accessibility

Statistics Poland, Aleja Niepodległości 208, 00-925 Warsaw

  • The building is accessed by one main entrance from 208 Niepodległości Avenue. The building consists of seven floors and four wings which are marked A B C D on each floor.
  • There are no stairs to the main lobby of the building in wing C from the outside, similarly to wing A.
  • The reception area is located directly to the left of the main entrance. Further passage is secured by gates.
  • The Statistics Poland building is largely adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. The stairs in the main lobby of the building (C wing) are equipped with movable platforms for transporting a wheelchair, inside the building adequate width of passageways is provided. Elevators are equipped with voice information and signage for the blind. On the other hand, the D wing of the Statistics Poland building, where the Central Statistical Library is located, is adapted to the needs of the disabled, i.e.: it has an appropriately wide entrance door, a staircase, an entrance platform for wheelchair users; the reading room has a non-slip floor, and the toilets are adapted to the needs of the disabled. There are 6 toilets adapted for people with disabilities throughout the building.
  • Toilets for the disabled are located on the first floor of the main hall, to the right of the entrance, and four on each floor (floor I ,III, V and VI).
  • In front of the building there are 7 designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • In part od building there is Braille signage in the building.There is no contrast or enlarged print signage for the blind and visually impaired.
  • In part of the A wing there is a Statistical Information Centre, which can be accessed from the sidewalk level. The Statistical Information Centre is equipped with a bathroom adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Communication and information accessibility

  • There is no direct access to a Polish Sign Language interpreter in the building. However, such access can be arranged upon prior request.
  • The Statistics Poland building is not equipped with induction loops.
